janebcreatives is owned by Jane Bolsover, who has over 20 years’ experience as a designer and writer specialising in sewing and crafts. Most recently Jane has been occupied as a Freelance Consultant for a major textile and craft show company, for whom she organises craft demonstrations, workshops and feature displays. She continues to write books and holds workshops through Rowan at Liberty of London and John Lewis stores.
Jane’s first foray into journalism was as Patterns Editor on Me magazine, but she soon moved on to become the Sewing Editor on Essentials magazine, working with celebrities such as Linda Barker, Laurence Llewellyn Bowen and Charlie Dimmock. Jane also edited the craft magazine Make it!
After originally training in Fashion & Design, Jane worked for a variety of companies and was given the opportunity to collaborate with leading designers of the time. As well as creating sewing and craft projects for magazines, Jane is also a published author, having written seven books on soft furnishings and patchwork, and edited many more. She has also appeared on mainstream television several times, demonstrating her talents alongside Tim Wonnacott from Bargain Hunt and TV home makeover designers Andrea Maflin, Graham Wynne and John Amabile.
